Every June, Parent Advisory Councils across Metro Vancouver take on the job of giving graduating students a night that feels genuinely exciting, without the risks that come with an unsupervised grad night. A casino night solves that problem about as well as anything can.
It’s high-energy, it’s genuinely fun even for teenagers who’ve seen everything, and every chip on every table is fake. We’ve been the casino vendor for dry grad committees across the region since 1998, and we understand the specific concerns a parent committee has that a corporate client never asks about.

Every dry grad event runs entirely on funny-money chips, redeemable at the end of the night for a prize table rather than cash. There’s no gambling in any legal sense happening at any table, and no age restriction concern because nothing of value changes hands during play.
Our dealers are experienced at running a room full of teenagers specifically: patient with first-time players, quick to keep the energy up, and comfortable working alongside the other chaperones and staff your committee already has in place.
Working Alongside Your Committee
Our dealers coordinate directly with whoever your committee has running the floor that night, whether that’s a rotating group of parent chaperones or school staff, so our setup and their supervision plan work together.
We’re also used to being one piece of a bigger night that might include a hypnotist, DJ, photo booth, or other entertainment your committee has booked separately, and we’re happy to coordinate timing so the casino tables open and close at whatever time works best.
How Most Committees Fund the Night
Dry grad events are almost always paid for through a mix of grad fees, a PAC-run fundraiser earlier in the year, and sometimes a local business sponsorship or two, rather than out of a single line-item budget the way a corporate event would be.
We’re used to working within that reality, which is part of why we’re upfront about pricing early in the conversation rather than waiting until a committee has already built an event plan around a number that doesn’t match.

Is this legal for a school event with minors?
Yes. Because every table uses funny-money chips with no real cash or prizes-for-cash exchange during play, there’s no gambling license or age restriction requirements.
How far ahead do dry grad committees typically book?
Most committees reach out in the winter or early spring for a June event. Earlier is better, since June is a popular month across every school we work with.
Do your dealers have experience specifically with teen events?
Yes, dry grads are a regular part of our calendar every June, and our dealers know the difference between running a table for a room full of teenagers versus a corporate crowd, from pacing to how much explanation each game needs.
